Lucien Postlewaite
Lucien Postlewaite was born in Santa Cruz, California. He trained on scholarship at the School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. Lucien joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2003 and was promoted to Principal in 2008, the same year he received the Princess Grace Award. In 2012, Lucien joined Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo where he originated many roles and toured the world under the direction of Jean-Christophe Maillot. In 2017, he re-joined PNB as a Principal Dancer. Lucien has performed as a Guest Artist with the New York City Ballet for their Gala honoring the School of American Ballet's 75th Anniversary. He’s featured in the film, Casse Noisette Compagnie by Jean Christophe Maillot and has performed in many galas around the world. In 2019 he was asked by the Fire Island Dance Festival to organize a commission for their Annual Gala. He is an originating member of Olivier Wevers’ Whim W’Him. Lucien has performed Petipa’s Paquita and Wevers’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Reiko Yamamoto Ballet Company in Japan, and Balanchine’s Tarantella with Los Angeles Ballet.
